In 2017, I made this in response to the hundreds of far-right extremists that descended on Charlottesville, Virginia, with tiki torches to protest the removal of a Confederate statue. It was the largest and most violent public assembly of white supremacists in decades. Today the light is bright and shining on the racism that has plagued this country. It isn’t new and continues to cast a shadow on us all.
